Dr. Collins was born November 19, 1970, in Salisbury, Md., and he finished high school in Asheville, N.C. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with honors, and a minor in nutrition from North Carolina State University. He earned a medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
